According to reports, the company works in a new functionality in which users will be able to see the person’s profile image surrounded by a green circle in the Chats section and that the rest of your contacts could view this Status directly from that tab.

In this way, those WhatsApp users who have shared several videos or images of their States, will have a circle around their profile image fragmented into as many parts as status updates made.
