Dead sea lions continue to appear on different beaches within the Viedma commons as a result of the avian flu that began with the first confirmed case on August 16 in Punta Bermeja. From that moment on, they were counted 53 specimens of sea lions with the virus. The Municipality took action and will restrict vehicular access for 14 days throughout the Viedmense ejido of Camino de la Costa.
Mayor Pedro Pesatti issued a decree to close vehicle access to the beaches for two weeks El Pescadero, Bajada Erica, Bajada de Cailoto Beach, Central Beach, Intermediate Beach, Bajada el Faro, Bajada de Picoto, Espigón, Playa Bonita, Lobería, Bahía Rosas and Bahía Creek.
