Reto Gertschen Appointed Interim Coach of Swiss Women’s National Team for Nations League Matches Against Sweden and Italy

Reto Gertschen (58) will lead the Swiss women’s team on an interim basis during the next two Nations League matches. He succeeds Inka Grings, who was dismissed on Friday.

Gertschen, a former LNA midfielder with Young Boys, Lausanne, Sion, Servette and Saint-Gall, then embarked on a coaching career. He notably managed the Swiss U18 and U20 selections. He has worked as head of the Coaching Education department at the ASF since 2017 and is notably responsible for the course for the highest coaching license (UEFA Pro license).

He will lead the Swiss during the matches once morest Sweden (December 1) and Italy (December 5). “It is a show of confidence to be able to take the position of interim coach of the women’s national team. We want to end the year on a positive note“, did he declare.
