The law also applies retroactively to births in 2023. Payments will be made by OPECA. The additional amount resulting from the increase in the birth allowance is paid to the beneficiaries without them submitting a new application or taking any other action, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family.

For mothers who had a child from 1/1/2024, the birth allowance is paid with the increased amount. In the current monthly payment of the birth allowance, which will take place on M. Tuesday, 10,119 mothers will be paid 11,165,950 euros from the first installment of the increased birth allowance.
