The PS5 Exclusive (to our test) by developer Housemarque originally released in April 2021 and has received updates since launch. The Ascension-Update of version 3.0 was made during the last State of Play live stream announced by Sony. Now Housemarque released 19 minutes of gameplay from Ascension, which includes online co-op multiplayer for players with a PlayStation Plus subscription. There’s also a new Tower of Sisyphus, a challenging 20-story tower that gets progressively tougher as Seline battles through its denizens and rises to higher levels.
In the video you get an insight into what climbing the Tower of Sisyphus actually looks like. Each floor has multiple rooms and players must survive while earning points. There is also a point multiplier – risk taking can be rewarded, but it can also cost you potential points. The trailer also features a new boss named Algos and some new story cutscenes that suggest we’ll learn more about the world of Returnal and its protagonist Seline will be experienced. The Ascension-Update is free and scheduled to be released on March 22nd. Here the video for you!
