A medical team in the Department of Urology at King Khalid Hospital in Najran ended the suffering of a patient in his sixth decade who was suffering from difficulty in urinating, by using the “Resium” technique, in a procedure that is the first of its kind at the level of the Ministry of Health hospitals in the southern region.
The Najran Health Ministry stated that after conducting the necessary medical examinations, analyzes, and television x-rays, it was found that there was an enlarged prostate, and the patient was presented with treatment methods, including treatment with the “rhizium” technique. Through the device, in a successful operation, thanks to God, which took 10 minutes, after which he was transferred to the hospitalization departments and the necessary care was provided for him, as the patient left the hospital 4 hours after the operation, and he is in good health.
She emphasized that the technique is one of the latest advanced technologies in the treatment of the prostate, as it helps to treat the atrophy and fading of the enlarged parts and the ability to control urine by up to 98%, in addition to the ability to reproduce naturally and get rid of the urinary bloody bleeding associated with traditional prostate operations and the speed of recovery.
It is noteworthy that King Khalid Hospital provided services to 211,413,000 patients in emergency departments and clinics during the first half of this year.
