Jeddah: The Ministry of Energy is planning to sell LPG cylinders through vending machines as part of efforts to make gas distribution systems for residential and commercial purposes simpler and easier in Saudi Arabia.
Distribution of liquid petroleum gas cylinders through vending machines is permitted. Licenses have been issued for this purpose.
The ministry is preparing a system to provide gas cylinder services directly to consumers through self-service machines. It has been informed that the machines will be installed soon. All the services available through the existing system of dispensing cooking gas cylinders will also be available through self-service machines.
The operation is connected to the smart phones of the users. This way you can get better services easily and safely. Applications are accepted from eligible companies who wish to invest in setting up machines, bottling and storage facilities to transport the gases to the specified location. Vending machines will be installed at gas stations and large retail markets.
To modernize the quality of services, to ensure availability and safety of gas supply, to increase the efficiency of licensees in providing services, to raise the level of standards for service, to indigenize technology, to protect the interests of consumers, to diversify outlets for selling gas cylinders and related equipment (accessories), to meet safety and security requirements at distribution points and to provide quality services to consumers.
