Through his Twitter account, Mayor Juan Carlos Cárdenas offered a reward of $50 million for anyone who provides information to find those responsible for the attack.

“We are making progress in investigations with security cameras, all intelligence and criminal investigation capabilities, and we are offering a reward of $50 million to those who provide testimonies that help us capture the perpetrators of this unfortunate act,” said the Mayor of Bucaramanga.

The attack left five uniformed officers injured who were taken to the emergency area of ​​the Santander University Hospital, HUS.

Fortunately there are no deceased people, nor civilians involved in the event.

The emergency site is cordoned off by the authorities. The first images show that the explosion occurred near a pole, next to where the station policemen park their motorcycles.

A police patrol that was also in front of the station was affected.

At 4:00 p.m. this Wednesday, a security council was summoned between the Police, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Army and the CTI in order to analyze the public order situation in the metropolitan area.

Officials of the Anti-Explosive Unit of the Technical Investigation Corps, CTI, of the Prosecutor’s Office, inspect the site in order to determine what happened.

“Absolute rejection of this attack that is added to those that various cities in the country have experienced in recent days. Solidarity with the National Police,” said Mayor Juan Carlos Cárdenas.
