Having fallen down the stairs is a suitable proverb for Rhea Chakraborty’s fate following the death of her lover, Sushant Singh Rajput. Not enough to mourn the loss of the man he loved, he had to languish in prison because he was thought to be supplying drugs to Sushant.

Now he has opened his voice regarding the incident and how this bad experience affected him mentally and physically. In an interview with Chetan Bhagat on the show Deep Talk With Chetan Bhagat, Rhea admitted that there were many people who blamed her for Sushant Singh’s death.

They hope that he will be imprisoned as punishment for this tragic incident.

“Let me go to prison. There are so many people chasing me, which makes me scared. I feel it would be better if everything was made clear, even if in the end I have to languish in prison,” he said.

In 2020 Rhea was detained. For 14 days he languished in a different cage from other prisoners because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Because of COVID regulations, I had to stay alone in detention for 14 days. I was alone there. I was so hungry and so tired that I ate whatever was given to me,” said Rhea.

He remembers correctly, the officer only gave him bread and vegetable gravy during his detention.

While there, Rhea also spent more time sleeping, in fact she usually slept for 12 hours. Trauma then emerged when he saw how dirty the toilets there were, especially since he was also mentally stressed by the various incidents that happened to him.

Even so, there were several good things he found in prison. He felt that the people there were much better than the people outside prison.

“The people inside are better off because there is no social structure in prison. It’s like a different world. I’m starting to feel grateful when many prisoners don’t have support from their families. Or they can’t pay fines. At least I still have family and friends,” he said. Rhea.

Rhea Chakraborty spent 28 days in Byculla jail and was released following paying a fine.
