Brian Riemer : “We started the game very well with a lot of chances created. We managed to put in this superb goal. And then we controlled the game less, which was not our plan. Then we give them this stupid goal in a counter-attack that changes the match. It’s not easy to play here with a team that is aggressive and that presses a lot. But no excuses today, we had the chances to make the break and win the game. Luckily we were lucky to equalize but that doesn’t change the fact that we were wasted. I’m now focused on the Conference League where we have a good opportunity to play.”
Anders Dreyer : “We could have scored more goals today. In the end, it’s a good point even if we want to win every game. I can’t really tell you what happened in the second half “I slipped on the goal that brings the equalizer, it happens. We want to get back in the game by qualifying for the Conference League against Ludogorets and then winning against Standard.”
Bernd Stork : “We had a fantastic game today. We had a lot of chances in the first half and we should have opened the scoring before they did. We came back into the game well by taking the advantage. It’s a shame that we didn’t take the three points because of this error which spoils our very good performance a little bit. We win together and we lose together so it’s football. It was a little too calm for me at the end. That’s why I went to see the fans to make them understand that we played very well today. The game in Zulte-Waregem is very important and my players know it.”
Nayel Mehssatou : “I think it was a very good match. The fans are happy with this point but I think that we can be disappointed with this goal which comes from an error on our part. We come back well in the game by equalizing then taking the lead so it’s frustrating. The derby in Zulte Waregem will be very important next week. I was very happy to play against my old club with a lot of guys I know well.”
Tom Vandenberghe : “We played a match of a very good level. It’s a shame this Anderlecht equalizer on this communication error with Kristof D’Haene. He didn’t hear that I was coming… but we can still to be blocked with this point. The first half was more in favor of Anderlecht even though we had the best chances. The second half was more in our favour.”
