After the twenty record set last spring, the Croatian Rimac Nevera in a special Time Attack edition tackled the Nürburgring. Result: the time of the Tesla Model S Plaid exploded and a new record set on the Green Hell: 7’05”298.
This is called “making everyone agree”. With 23 records set last April, including 0-300 km/h in 9.2 seconds and 0-400 km/h in 21.31 seconds, the Rimac Nevera’s next goal was quite naturally the Nürburgring.
With driver Martin Kodrić at the wheel, the Croatian hypercar has obliterated, in style, the previous trademark of the Tesla Model S Plaid, made last June. If the American (7’25”231) and the Porsche Taycan Turbo S (7’33”300) were fighting for first place, the Rimac Nevera came to set the bar very high with a time of 7’05’ ‘298 over the 20.8 km (7’00”928 over the 20.6 km).
Certainly the symbolic mark of 7 minutes has still not fallen in electric, but the Croatian manufacturer is making an impression by smashing the previous record of around twenty seconds.
A 1,914 horsepower monster
With its four electric motors, the Rimac Nevera releases a phenomenal power of 1,914 horsepower for a torque of 2,360 Nm. Its weight of 2,300 kg did not prevent the Croatian from becoming the fastest electric car in the world. The model that achieved the record bears the name of Time Attack, a very limited edition of 12 pieces. Otherwise, you can always try to get the conventional model, then count 2 million euros. Its production should be limited to 150 copies.
