Riot Games published today on its official YouTube channel a cinematic of the new champion, Naafiri. She will be the first champion of the “Darkin” breed that the company releases in 6 years! Check below for a link to cinematics and information on everything we know (so far) regarding the new League of Legends character.
Naafiri: Iron Hounds
Riot plans to add one more champion of the Darkin race to its flagship game, League of Legends. For a long time, all we had information regarding Naafiri was that she would be a “darkin” assassin facing the Mid lane. We had leaked concept art, but nothing more for a few months.

I recommend you watch the cinematic (it turned out pretty stylish), but by all indications, Naafiri is a Darkin imprisoned inside a dagger, as well as the other Darkins, Aatrox, Rhaast (Kayn), and Varus. But Naafiri seems to be protected by a pack of wolves. We can expect the playable character to be a portmanteau of the wolves seen in the cinematic.
Earlier this year, Riot stated that Naafiri will be a character with a more “basic” skill kit, for players who prefer to focus on the macro-playinstead of reading the long list of character abilities.
Across leaksit is possible that Naafiri will also be added in the Team Fight Tactics (TFT) game, probably a few months following its release in LoL.
