Rishi Sunak praises Qatar; Social media by storm

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak praised Qatar for hosting the FIFA World Cup. He was tweeting praises for World Cup hosts Qatar ahead of England’s clash with Senegal in the pre-quarters.

“Congratulations to Qatar for hosting an incredible World Cup. It will be remembered as one of the best group matches ever,’ he tweeted. Rishi Sunak also expressed his support for England in the tweet.

But there were strong criticisms against the British Prime Minister’s tweet. Many people were worried that Rishi Sunak had said it on purpose.

‘Yes, Rishi Sunak, Qatar hosted an incredible World Cup. Except few people protested it, everyone else was watching and enjoying the World Cup,’ a Twitter user noted. Some asked if Rishi Sunak watches the World Cup.

Many tweeted praising England’s win in the pre-quarters. England entered the quarter-finals by defeating Senegal by three goals.

Jordan Henderson, captain Harry Kane and young player Bukoyo Saka scored for England.

England rushed to the next stage by dominating all areas of the game.

England’s opponents in the quarter are France. The English team is unbeaten so far. But in the last group match, France suffered a shocking defeat against Tunisia, who rested the main players.
