Former British finance minister Rishi Sunak still led the race to replace Boris Johnson in Downing Street on Tuesday, with 118 votes in a fresh vote by Conservative Party lawmakers that showed the race for second place is tight.
After a fourth round of voting, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Penny Mordaunt remained in second place with 92 votes, followed by Secretary of State Liz Truss (86 votes), according to results announced by Graham Brady, who is responsible for organizing the internal ballot.
Former Minister of State for Equality Kimi Badenok, who represents the right wing of the party, was disqualified from the race following receiving 59 votes.
