Poultry prices continue to soar in various points of sale in the Kingdom, provoking the indignant anger of consumers and professionals in the sector.
In a statement to Le Site info, Abdelouahab Daki, poultry seller, deplored the drop in traffic due to soaring prices.
“Moroccans flock to chicken during Ramadan and religious festivals. Currently, the crowds are no longer the same, especially since prices have increased significantly. Caterers also no longer have the same interest in poultry,” he explained.
According to Daki, a kilo today costs 20 dirhams, an excessively expensive price for modest budgets.
