After grueling Worlds which saw him win a silver medal in the road race and a fifth place in the time trial, Wout van Aert will begin the last part of his season. We take stock of his program.
Announced at the start of the Renewi Tour (note: formerly called Benelux Tour) at the end of August, Wout van Aert will not be there in the end and has himself revealed his program at the microphone of the RTBF after the Glasgow time trial: he will therefore resume at the Tour of Britain from September 3 to 10 after a rest period for “enjoying family and home”.
This Tour will serve as a preparation for some classics. If no race has filtered, we can in particular imagine him at the Grand Prix de Wallonie (13/09) when he will then go to the Netherlands to compete in the European Championships. The time trial will take place on September 20 and the road race on September 24.
In all likelihood, the two races in the Netherlands should be the last of his season.
