In an interview with Glamour Years ago, Robert Pattinson admitted what it was like filming intimate scenes with Stewart, who at the time was his real-life partner.
“The most difficult part was avoiding an R rating,” he revealed, in relation to the age rating system for films, the R has to do with the fact that it is for a restricted audience, over 18 years of age.
In that same interview, he also confessed: “Watching other people have sex will never be that spectacular anyway.” “It’s strange when there’s so much fuss regarding it. You say, ‘God, I hope this lives up to it!’” she added.

In an interview with the same media, Kristen also referred to that topic and told how she felt regarding those scenes. “Originally, we got the R rating, they re-released it,” she began by explaining.
And he recalled: “There are two big sex scenes in the two (final) films and we did them quite early. It was so strange. It didn’t even feel like we were doing a scene from a movie. Twilight. I was like: ‘Bella! What are you doing? Wow, what’s going on here? “It was very surreal.”
In any case, Kristen recognized that the toned down version of the scenes was very necessary, considering that fans of the franchise were in the adolescent stage.
“(The ratings board) knows who our audience is and can say, ‘Hmm, guys, calm down a little.’ It’s funny because you don’t see anything in the book. “It is everyone’s imagination, so it is completely subjective,” he expressed in this regard.
