Suteba General Secretary, Robert Baradelwas rebuked by a man while trying to buy in a Mar del Plata fishmonger. The moment was filmed on video and it is seen how he attacked a woman who was recording the situation.
According to a message that circulated via WhatsApp, the person who confronted the union leader is Julio Dartes Mereles, who was with his wife at the “Victoria” fish shop. There, according to what he related, he met Baradel and vindicated Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. “I asked him if he had dimensioned the educational damage that he was doing to the Argentine Republic, its inhabitants, their children, their grandchildren and the future. His defense was to rebuke me, obviously I defended myself, with the strongest arguments that a democratic and republican man has: the word. The coward and gangster fled, despite the intervention of his son. I fulfilled my moral and ethical obligation in defense of all the children of my beloved country,” said the man.
You can’t hear any of this on the video. Rather, an awkward moment between the two men in which the employees of the fishmonger have to intervene. One of them asks both of them to finish the discussion outside the premises. At that moment, Baradel begins to withdraw from the business, and you can hear how the woman who films the video makes fun of the leader. The man, in turn, tells him: “You have to go”, which unleashes Baradel’s anger, who re-enters the place and confronts the man: “I don’t have to go anywhere”.
At that moment, of maximum tension between the two, it is seen how the general secretary of Suteba takes the woman’s cell phone by force and tells her: “Ma’am, that’s not how it is.” Then, a struggle between the couple and Baradel is seen. “Give me the phone,” the woman shouts. Faced with this situation, Mereles says: “Who do you think you are, voice, thief, criminal”. Baradel drops the phone that falls to the ground and leaves the place, before the eyes of all those present.
The leader was this Saturday in the city of Mar del Plata where he participated in different events. According to what he published on his Twitter account, he was present at the Municipal Sectional Meeting organized by the Trade Union Association of Health Workers of Buenos Aires (CICOP).
Then, he said present at another meeting. “Today in Mar del Plata, with more than 150 colleagues from the Mayo Movement of the 5th electoral section, we met to analyze the political situation and define initiatives that allow us to build a province and a country with social justice, education, work and production”, wrote in your account.
