Robin Bus Interstate Service Controversy: MVD Imposes Fine and Updates

MVD imposes fine on Robin bus after starting interstate service. The bus journey started from Pathanamthitta private bus stand. After passing 100 meters, the MVD who came with the inspection was accused of violating the permit and fined Rs 7500. MVD has informed that there will be further inspection. After the inspection, the bus continued its journey half an hour late. The bus owner is also participating in the journey till Coimbatore. The bus owner said that the fine of MVD will be paid in court on Monday itself and it has been decided to go ahead with the service.

Robin Bus started service from Pathanamthitta to Coimbatore on August 30 last. On the morning of September 1, the officials canceled the fitness of the bus during the inspection conducted by the Motor Vehicle Department at Ranni. After 45 days, the bus passed the fitness test and resumed service on October 16. The case reached the court after the MVD caught the bus again at Ranni. Later, following the court order, the bus was handed over to the owner.
