Robots in harem to guide devotees

New robots have been launched to guide pilgrims to Mecca and Medina shrines. The new robots have been launched by the Imam and Muwaddin Agency under the Iruharam Office. Sheikh Abdu Rahman Al Sudais, Head of Iru Haram Office, inaugurated the project.

Those who want to know things related to Qur’an recitation, khutbah and bank calls will get help from the new robots. The aim is to maximize the use of smart robots by augmenting artificial intelligence services. The job of the robot is to display QR codes related to Quran recitation, khutbah and bank calls.

You can scan and download the application using your smart phone. It is also possible to know general information regarding imams and muaddins, weekly schedules, Friday sermon etc. through voice commands on the robot. Sheikh Abdu Rahman Al Sudais, Head of Iruharam Office, said that more robots will be set up soon.
