Preservation of the Iarivo ring road. The fokontany around the Iarivo ring road participate in the “Green Fokontany” competition, launched by the Ministry of Territorial Development and Land Services to preserve the infrastructure along the edge of this road infrastructure. Each fokontany will maintain the space allocated to it for two months, the duration of the competition. This project aims to improve the state of cleanliness of the living spaces of the citizens in these urban districts, while promoting the selective sorting of waste at the source to encourage the population to work together for sustainable development and good citizenship. It also aims to popularize green spaces through reforestation.
Two hundred and fifty seedlings, wheelbarrows, brooms, baskets, gloves, vests and shovels were distributed to the eleven fokontany participating in the competition. They were introduced to techniques for planting seedlings. “We hope that this initiative can improve the living environment of citizens, preserve natural resources and promote the values of solidarity and team spirit.
