The Rochefort firefighters and the Reconnaissance and Intervention Group in Perilous Environments from the DINPAPHI rescue zone had to intervene in Rochefort this afternoon to rescue a paraglider trapped 25 meters high, at the top of the trees in the “Rond du Roi” wood. They called a Marche en Famenne pumper as reinforcements.
The paraglider took off from the take-off area of the “Ross du Roi”. His web then got stuck in the heads of the trees.
The intervention went well, it ended at 5:30 p.m. The paraglider is safe and sound.
According to the mayor of Rochefort Julien Defaux, many paragliders were out this Sunday, attracted by the weather.
