Goldband takes its name from the eponymous plaster brand, a nod to the former profession of the members of the group, who were plasterers. On stage, they had also placed some scaffolding and a stepladder.
The three singers Milo Driessen, Karel Gerlach and Boaz Kok had fun in front of a crowded meadow, despite a concert scheduled for the very beginning of the afternoon.
Boaz Kok injured his ankle during the performance and spent the rest of the concert sitting in a chair. But that didn’t dampen the band’s enthusiasm. Their hits “I hate you”, Kinderwens” and “Psycho” were just as full of energy.
Italian group Måneskin, winners of Eurovision in 2021, are expected later today, as are American singer-songwriters Phoebe Bridgers and Leon Bridges. In the evening, Twenty One Pilots, Jamie XX and Bicep Live are scheduled to perform, while Imagine Dragons will close the third day of the festival on the main stage.
In the meantime, it is not certain that the performance of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, on the poster for the Brabant festival on Sunday, will take place. The American group had to cancel a concert on Friday in Glasgow, Scotland, due to illness.
