Rockies beat Diamondbacks led by Rodgers and Joe

Brendan Rodgers homered, Connor Joe had a three-run triple and the Colorado Rockies overcame a two-run game by Arizona player Christian Walker to beat the Diamondbacks 11-7 on Saturday.

Kris Bryant had three hits and an RBI, CJ Cron added two RBI singles and Charlie Blackmon added a two-run double for the Rockies.

Ketel Marte homered and singled and drove in two runs, while Daulton Varsho had a two-run homer in the ninth off Jhoulys Chacin and Jordan Luplow had a pair of hits and an RBI for the Diamondbacks.

Starter Austin Gomber (4-7), making his first start since June 15, pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed four runs on six hits to earn the win.

The loss went to Arizona starter Dallas Kuchel (2-6), who pitched five innings and allowed seven runs, six earned, on six hits.

For the Diamondbacks, the Venezuelan David Peralta 1-0. The Dominicans Ketel Marte 4-2 with a run scored and an RBI; Geraldo Perdomo 4-0.

For the Rockies, Cuban José Iglesias 4-0.
