For a still unknown reason, the security barrier keeping the public safe on the “Rock’n’Roll” did not fulfill its role. Seven people were thrown out of the sensational ride. All the victims suffer from fractures and three of them are in serious condition, according to the mayor of Manage, Bruno Pozzoni. But the seven people were conscious at the time of the intervention of the emergency services who arrived quickly on the spot.
“The checks prior to the opening of the ride had been carried out and all the documents were in order”, says the mayor. The owner of the attraction will be heard and the investigation will have to determine the circumstances and the responsibilities.
Insofar as there are no deaths, only the carousel concerned has been closed. The other attractions of the Ducasse de La Hestre remain accessible.
