Rockstar announced a new release date for GTA V on current generation consoles and confirmed the next part of the series

Rockstar Games Studio on its official website announced new release date for upgrades Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online on current generation consoles, and also confirmed the next installment in the series.

Recall that the original single and multiplayer components of Grand Theft Auto V on PS5, Xbox Series X and S were expected November 11, 2021, but later the release was moved to March 2022.

As it became known, GTA V and GTA Online will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X and S on March 15th. The standalone version of GTA Online, which will debut on the same day, will be available to PS5 players for free for three months.

GTA V and GTA Online on the new consoles will offer resolutions up to 4K, up to 60 fps, faster loading times, texture and draw distance improvements, support for HDR, ray tracing, 3D audio, and DualSense features.

Users will reportedly be able to transfer all of their story and online progress from PS4 and Xbox One to PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The option will only be available once during the launch period.

As for the new Grand Theft Auto, its active development “is in full swing”. Additional details in Rockstar Games promise to share “as soon as we’re ready”.

By unconfirmed information, the events of the conditional Grand Theft Auto VI will unfold in modern Vice City, the game will have several main characters (including a woman), and the release should not be expected before 2024.
