After 95 programs, Masterchef Argentina (Telefe) came to an end and the Mexican Rodolfo Vera Calderón was crowned the winner of this edition of the reality show, which this year was hosted by Wanda Nara. In the final, she defeated Estefanía Herlein, after the jury made up of Donato de Santis, Damián Betular and Germán Martitegui favored one of the two three-course menus.
“The big winner or big winner of this edition of Masterchef Argentina is… Rodolfo!”, announced the Italian to warn that the jury chose the preparation of the Mexican. “The entry is cold avocado soup. When the result was known, the finalists embraced each other while the golden confetti exploded in the studio to give it a final frame. “A lot of emotion comes to my soul, it is a balm to the heart. I’m happy, I won Masterchef, what more can I ask for?” Rodolfo said backstage. Then his sister, his cousin and his friend came to congratulate him, while the applause of the jury and the rest of the former participants in this edition of the reality show were heard in the studio.
“I am happy and content. Thank you Argentina for giving me so much and thank you Mexico for giving me ideas to cook. Happy, happy, happy”, added Rodolfo, who burst into tears in the studio, very emotional after the victory. “I want to thank this country that has given me so much,” he began to say until he broke down. “And also to my country, Mexico, which is my homeland, I carry it in my heart. And to my family, ”he added in a small voice, also to dedicate his victory to his mother, his father and the woman who cooked in his house when he was little.
Also excited, Wanda closed the cycle, while everyone celebrated Rodolfo’s victory. “And we come to the end of an incredible night. We were very happy doing this program. In particular, it is my first experience as a conductor and I had the best companions who could touch me. Off camera there is a huge team that works very hard to give you the best at home. The grand final had started last Sunday and this new champion joins the list that Elba Rodríguez and Alejo Lagouarde already made up; while in the famous editions Claudia Villafañe, Gastón Dalmau, Mica Viciconte and Sofía Pachano were consecrated.
The first to get his pass to the final was Rodolfo last Tuesday, when he won over the chefs with an anchovy, potato, leek, bacon and cream soup. Meanwhile, Estefanía made the best dish of last Thursday, with her artichoke tortellini with butter sauce and black truffles.
After the jury introduced him, Rudy made his way into the kitchen. “I don’t know if I imagined this final, but I expected it,” said the journalist specializing in royalty. And then she came in, she graduated in Public Relations, very excited. Then all the ex-participants of this edition made their entry, who came to support her colleagues.
Then the host surprised the finalists with the entry of the people closest to each of them. “My sister Ariadna, who is five years older than me. She lives in New York and came to be with me. Happy to be here”, said Rodolfo. And he also introduced his friend Gloria, who encouraged him to enter the contest; and Mina, his sister’s best friend, whom he considers a cousin. For his part, Estefi recounted while embracing his affections: “We have my sister, who is one of the most important people in my life, mom who is the one who taught me to fight for everything in this life and the love of my life ”.

And Martitegui was in charge of explaining the slogan to be executed. “As we already know, they have been working on a three-step menu with their style and imprint for a long time. That is the challenge tonight, to prepare that menu to perfection. We want all the effort they put into getting here and all the emotion they are feeling, to be reflected in that menu,” said the chef.
Then Donato explained that they would have 90 minutes to prepare. And Betular told them that, beyond 3 minutes for the marking, the place would remain open so that they could go and look for the ingredients they needed at any time. So, both got down to work. And, to celebrate, Wanda uncorked a champagne between her gondolas.
Thus, the participants got down to work while the jury toured the islands. The nerves of family and friends were felt in the studio. And the tension was extreme. With the time fulfilled, it was time for the tasting. Finally, the verdict was announced this Monday and Rodolfo was crowned the winner of this edition.
