Bilanz 2022: Salt well ranked!

It is difficult to read the telecom ranking of the economic magazine Bilanz, as it contains so many categories. I remember that Salt is the best positioned universal operator, that Net+ is again the best telecom operator for private individuals, while VTX is the champion in telephony for businesses. The Romans shine!

Once again we can see how giants like Swisscom and Sunrise UPC are fairly, even very badly positioned for the latter. Swisscom, however, is the best universal operator for large companies, while Sunrise UPC has to settle for only second places in this ranking. By positioning itself as the best universal operator for private individuals and SMEs, Salt is doing very well! Bilanz’s article (paid).

Swisscom and Sunrise UPC often in the red

By scanning the various classifications of services intended for private individuals, I was struck by the non-negligible number of mentions in red for Sunrise UPC. This operator is in turn the worst of the following categories: quality of its mobile telephony, customer support of its mobile telephony, poor quality in terms of landline telephony (And I can attest to this…).

For comparison, Salt is never the last, unlike Swisscom. The former monopolist comes last in the following categories: mobile telephony price and mobile telephony flexibility, internet access price, fixed telephony price and flexibility. That’s a lot of red for the number one on the market…

Yallo does not hurt!

It is interesting to note that in this vast American nebula that is Sunrise UPC, Yallo often does better than the parent company, which is to say the state of decrepitude of Sunrise UPC… An operator to be avoided today and to leave to the very interested Federer! Last in the internet access category, M-Budget takes four marks in the red, while Wingo is not very good on landlines.

As for mobile telephony for private individuals, it should be noted that Net+ comes first, ahead of Digital Republic, followed by Quickline and Digital Connect. Yallo is sixth, Wingo eighth ahead of Coop Mobile. Follow in order: Aldi Mobile, M-Budget, Salt, Sunrise and finally Swisscom last…

Although the Bilanz ranking of 11,000 users raises many questions, certain facts about Swisscom and Sunrise UPC cannot be ignored. For example, we cannot ignore the poor quality results of Sunrise UPC and the lack of flexibility of Swisscom, given their prices…
