A 47-year-old forest worker died in an accident in Niedernsill (Pinzgau) on Monday followingnoon. As the police reported in the evening, the Romanian employee of a timber company tried to pull a spruce out of a jam at an altitude of 1650 meters. The heavy metal carriage came loose and hit the worker.
The emergency doctor, who was called immediately by helicopter, might only confirm the death of the worker. The police informed the Agriculture and Forestry Inspectorate regarding the accident.
