Romano Bertucci was born on January 30, 1942 in the Modena region of Italy. He studied welding, a job he first practiced in a company in Brussels and then in Clabecq. His wife, Rosa Bundi, was born on March 21, 1943 in Sicily.
It was at the city of Buisson in Wasmes that the lovebirds met. Romano played accordion in Rosa’s brother’s band. This group was called “Les Chacals” and performed at balls. It was during rehearsals that Rosa and Romano’s eyes met.
Sixty years of love
“It did something for me to discover it, explains Rosa. Six months later, we were married. Because during our engagement, we were watched too much. We didn’t regret it because sixty years later, we’re still just as in love. »
From their union were born three daughters: Luisa, Sandra and Christelle, who brought them six grandchildren.
