Romeo agreed to a one-year contract to defend Brentford’s reserve shirt following leaving the American club Inter Miami, which is preparing to receive the 2022 Qatar World Cup champion, Lionel Messi, following he decided to join his ranks following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain.
Romeo, 20, spent the second part of the last season on loan with Brentford from Inter Miami, whose father is a co-owner.
Romeo contributed to Brentford’s reserve victory in the Premier League Cup organized by the Under-21 League last season, knowing that he played 15 matches, and also scored once morest Wealdstone of the National League in the Middlesex Senior Cup.
“We brought Romeo into our team in January and he’s been fantastic in the group,” said Brentford reserve team coach Neil MacFarlane, who is hopeful Romeo can continue his development in west London.
“It was a great end to the season in terms of his last game once morest Manchester City where he showed what he had learned during his loan with us.”
“We have continued to develop him both with and without possession (of the ball) and we look forward to his return in good spirits to continue working with him next season.”
David, Romeo’s father, is considered one of the most prominent stars of English and international football, as he wore the shirts of Manchester United, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and the “Three Lions” team in a wonderful career before his retirement in 2013.
