Romy Reiner has stepped into a new acting role on Larry David’s satirical HBO series, Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness, marking a fresh television credit that connects her directly to her late father, filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner, according to reports from AOL and the Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old actress appeared in the season 1 finale of the HBO comedy series, which aired on August 7, portraying a nurse who tends to a sickly President William Henry Harrison, played by Fred Melamed. Her appearance follows her previous work on David’s earlier HBO project, Curb Your Enthusiasm, where she played a cashier in 2021.
Romy’s latest television appearance comes just over a month after her father made a posthumous cameo in the second episode of the same series. Rob Reiner, who died in December at age 78, portrayed George Washington in a sketch where the first U.S. president decides to step away from office after two terms. That July 3 episode marked the director and actor’s final on-screen performance, filmed a month prior to his passing.
The Reiner family’s involvement in the series extends further into the sibling group. Jake Reiner, 35, the youngest son of Rob and Michele Reiner, appeared in the premiere episode of Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness as a World War I soldier. Following his father’s posthumous appearance, Jake shared a behind-the-scenes photograph of Rob in costume, complete with his signature beard.
