Is California facing an exodus problem?
The governor of California defended himself on several occasions when asked about the exodus of Californians to other states in the country.
According to the Department of Finance, California lost 117,552 people between January 2021 and January 2022.
Newson says that 18 states across the country also saw their population drop, not just California, which had a 0.3% loss.
While Florida saw a growth in its population with the arrival of 319,000 people from other states, according to data from the National Association of Realtors. Florida’s population increased 2% between July 2021 and July 2022.
