Rossi loses again with Minnesota

Marco Rossi has walked off the ice as a loser with the Minnesota Wild for the third straight season in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Wild lost 6-4 to the Pittsburgh Penguins in St. Paul on Thursday (local time).

Rossi had almost nine minutes of ice time, but didn’t score a point and didn’t fire a shot on goal. For the Penguins, star forward Sidney Crosby scored twice and also posted two assists.

Minnesota was able to equalize in the middle third thanks to a double strike to 2:2 and eight and a half minutes before the final siren Joel Eriksson Ek closed the gap to 3:4. Before a hot finish, however, Pittsburgh struck twice, with the home side, without the injured goalkeeper Marc-Andre Fleury, taking the goalie off the ice before the 3:5.

For Rossi & Co. it was the start of a seven-game home series. In the Western Conference, the team is currently in tenth place with seven wins from 17 appearances this season.
