Passengers on the Rossiya Airlines flight to Volgograd sat in the plane for several hours waiting for departure from Pulkovo. The carrier’s client Yuri reported this to Fontanka on November 27.
The plane was supposed to depart at 15:00. But by 11 pm the passengers were still in the cabin in St. Petersburg.
“First we loaded it onto the plane according to plan. We sat on the plane for 3 hours and drove along the runway. Unloaded at the airport. At 20:00 we were loaded onto the plane again. We’re still sitting,” Yuri noted, adding that the board is awaiting anti-icing treatment.
According to the Yandex online scoreboard, the flight was scheduled for 23:30. By this time, the plane reached the runway, as follows from the flightradar service.
In total, by midnight, about 30 planes were scheduled for departure at Pulkovo with the status “detained”. Due to the snowstorm, the airport operates in difficult weather conditions.
