The authorities made the decision to close Route 175, in Laurentides Park late Tuesday followingnoon, due to the presence of ice on the roadway.
Several trucks have been unable to move forward due to the icy roadway at kilometer 108 since 6:55 p.m.
The Quebec Ministry of Transport had made the decision to close the road for an indefinite period in order to ensure the safety of motorists.
A detour route had been put in place by the authorities.
However, Route 175 was reopened to traffic around 9:30 p.m.
