Old actor Rudy Salam died on Friday (18/11) at the age of 73.
Rudy’s departure is certainly a heavy blow for Roy Marten, his younger brother.
Although sad, Roy admits that he is relieved that his brother is now no longer suffering. He also said that Rudy had experienced great pressure in life for the last seven years, causing him to suffer from depression.
“Mas Rudy’s suffering is finished. Thank God he has been called to a place where there is no sadness and pain. Mas Rudy has been suffering for seven years, so I think this is the best way,” said Roy while crying when he was met at a funeral home in the area Jakarta.
When asked about the depression that Rudy suffered before he passed away, Roy admitted that he did not know exactly. However, he explained that there was anxiety that his brother had been feeling all this time.
“There is anxiety that I don’t know why. He started to get restless, pacing, unfocused, didn’t want to talk to him, after a while he was lazy to move because of vertigo,” he explained.
Meanwhile, when asked about the figure of Rudy Salam, Roy called him an extraordinary brother. Since childhood, Rudy has always protected Roy.
“He was amazing when I was little he was my protector because I was always aroundbully. He always stood up for me.”

Rudy Salam’s body will then be buried at the Cungkup Public Cemetery (TPU), Salatiga, which is the actor’s hometown.
