In previous years, when Elizabeth reduced her public appearances for reasons of age, the royal commitments of the two increased. They appear relaxed and natural – especially by royal standards – and thus gain a lot of sympathy. Both are committed to environmental and nature conservation issues as well as projects to promote mental health. They are often said to be the modern face of the monarchy.
Kate has a huge responsibility
According to the former butler of Princess Diana, Paul Burrellbut it is above all Kate who is important for the royal family and its reputation.

In 2003, he caused a stir with a book in which he revealed salacious details of his former boss’s marital crisis. A year later he took part in the British TV jungle camp.
