Kensington Palace had confirmed that Kate had planned abdominal surgery and the procedure was successful. However, she will have to stay in the clinic for up to two weeks and will continue to recover afterwards. The exact reason for the operation is not known, but according to British media, she is already recovering well and the palace has also confirmed that Kate is not being treated for cancer.
“Like thousands of men every year, the king had himself examined for an enlarged prostate,” the palace also said. His condition is “no concern and he will go to the hospital next week for an operation.” Charles’ wife, Queen Camilla (76), said during an appointment in Aberdeen: “He’s fine, thank you very much.” The king is already looking forward to getting back to work. According to the palace, a “short recovery phase” is planned.
