Luxembourg – The RTL Group suffered a slump in profits in the past year. The bottom line is that year-on-year profits fell from around EUR 1.45 billion to EUR 766 million. In 2021, RTL had benefited from high capital gains, as the television group, which is listed in the German MDax, announced on Thursday in Luxembourg. Adjusted operating profit (EBITA) fell by six percent to EUR 1.08 billion in 2022 due to higher streaming start-up losses and lower TV revenues.
