Last March, Nintendo announced the postponement of Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp a few weeks before its release due to “recent world events” (Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but politely said).
Since this postponement, we have been waiting to find out when the game will launch on Nintendo Switch. Nintendo remained very discreet, but an online store may have spilled the beans. A Swedish retailer recently emailed customers who pre-ordered Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp notifying them of a date change. According to them, the release of the game is now scheduled for February 24, 2022. This date is also listed on the website.
It remains unlikely that a Swedish online store is the information that no one has, it mostly seems to be a maximum date, the last Friday before March 2023. Again, this date has not yet been confirmed by Nintendo, but it seems strange that such a random date was chosen. Also, February 24 would be a Friday, which is certainly how Nintendo releases its games. Anyway, hopefully we will have an official announcement about Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp release date soon.
