Russia and Belarus allowed to participate in the ISU congress, the proposal of Ukraine to remove them was rejected – Figure Skating

The delegates of Russia and Belarus were admitted to participate in the congress of the International Skating Union (ISU), which started today in Phuket.

As a result of the vote, representatives of both countries received the right to participate in the congress, as well as in elections for leadership positions in the ISU. Ukraine’s initiative to remove them was rejected, as it did not receive two-thirds of the votes of the ISU delegates.

The congress, which will end on June 10, will consider, among other things, a proposal to raise the age limit in figure skating to 17 years, and the election of the ISU president will also take place.
