Russia could strike at any time: US | Russia | Ukraine

MOSCOW: US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has reiterated that Russia might invade Ukraine at any time. He said this might happen by the 20th of this month. Relevant heads of state demanded that all US and UK citizens in Ukraine leave the country immediately.

President Joe Biden has said he will not send troops to rescue U.S. citizens in the event of an attack. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Ben Wallace arrived in Moscow yesterday, following in the footsteps of UK Foreign Minister Listrus.

Listrus’ talks with Russian Foreign Secretary Sergei Lavrov failed yesterday. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who is visiting Poland, has said that UK – Russia relations are in a dangerous situation. Johnson left for Poland following arriving in Brussels in the wake of the Ukraine crisis and holding talks with NATO chief Yen Stoltenberg.

Russia and Ukraine’s nine-hour talks in Berlin on Thursday between France and Germany ended in a stalemate. The Netherlands, Japan and South Korea have also asked their citizens to leave Ukraine.

Russia has deployed regarding 100,000 troops along the Ukraine border. Russia, which last week conducted military exercises in Belarus, which borders Ukraine, began naval exercises in the Black Sea this week.
