Inflation continued to accelerate in October in Russia, with prices rising 6.7% year-on-year, according to figures published this Friday, November 10, 2023 by the national statistics agency Rosstat. The price increase reached exactly 6.69% year-on-year in October, compared to 6% in September, according to Rosstat, while the trend observed since the spring continued. Inflation is thus increasingly eating away at the purchasing power of Russians, already undermined by the effects of sanctions and a weak ruble.
