Docking with the ISS’s Poisk module is scheduled for Saturday, July 5, at 5:27 p.m. EDT (2127 GMT). Nasa is providing a livestream of this rendezvous and docking, accessible via NASA+ starting at 4:45 p.m. EDT (2045 GMT) on Saturday.

Replacing Progress 90 and Joining Progress 91

progress 92 is set to replace Progress 90, which undocked from the Poisk port on Tuesday, July 1, after a seven-month stay. Progress 90 will undergo a controlled deorbit and burn up in earth’s atmosphere, a fate also expected for Progress 92 in about six months. Meanwhile, Progress 91, launched on February 27, remains docked to the ISS’s Zvezda service module.

The Progress spacecraft is one of three primary cargo vehicles supplying the ISS. The other two are American-made: Northrup Grumman’s Cygnus and SpaceX’s Dragon. the Dragon, unlike Progress and Cygnus, is reusable, allowing for the safe return of scientific samples and other materials to Earth.
