A Ukrainian military official said, on Sunday, that Russia had launched a drone attack on the capital, Kiev, the first in 12 days, indicating that the air defense systems initially destroyed all targets as they approached.
“Another enemy attack on Kiev… At the moment there is no information regarding possible loss of life or damage,” Colonel Serhiy Popko, who heads the military administration in Kiev, said in a post on Telegram.

Sirens sounded in Kiev and its region and a number of regions in central and eastern Ukraine following two o’clock in the morning local time (2300) to warn of air strikes.
