The Russian Football Federation (RFS) will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne once morest the suspension of its men’s national A team in qualifying for the 2022 World Cup, as well as all other international competitions, a announced the RFS in a press release published on March 3, 2022. Russia was to face Poland on March 24 in the 2022 World Cup play-offs. But on February 28, the International Federation (Fifa) and the European Confederation (Uefa) excluded it from all its competitions, in reaction to the invasion of Ukraine.
