Pride of Ankara, the Turkish combat drones with which Ukraine has been equipped entered into action in the early hours of the Russian invasion. These high-performance and relatively inexpensive devices had proved decisive during the conflicts in Nagorny-Karabakh or Libya, but the ground was less favorable to them this time.
According to experts, Kiev has about twenty Bayraktar, jewels of the Turkish military industry whose President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has become the best VRP on the planet, already sold in fifteen countries.
“These TB2 strikes are relatively few in number compared to ground combat, but important for Ukrainian morale because they show that Russia does not control the skies,” said Aaron Stein of the Foreign Policy Research Institute in Washington, D.C. for whom “the Ukrainians should be congratulated for keeping their TB2s in the air”.
