Russian Ambassador: Lebanon’s position on the Ukraine crisis does not affect relations with Moscow much

BEIRUT (Archyde.com) – The Russian ambassador to Beirut, Alexander Rudakov, said on Sunday that he did not think that the Lebanese Foreign Ministry’s statement condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine would greatly affect Moscow’s relations with Beirut.

“In difficult days, we see who is with us and who is once morest us,” he added at a press conference in the Lebanese capital.

On Thursday, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine and calling on Moscow to stop its military operations immediately.
