Russian broadcasters sent false air alert after hacker attack – IT security

As a result of a hacker attack, several regional broadcasters in Russia broadcast false air alert warnings, according to the authorities. The population was asked on Tuesday to go to shelters because of a rocket attack. “As a result of a hacking attack on the servers of radio and television stations, information regarding the announcement of an air alert was distributed in some regions of the country,” the Ministry of Civil Defense said.
